a song written for a friend. i fell in love with this because i recorded the vocals once, then tried recording another to see if i could make it better. i ended up using both and i love the different sound it makes. plus you can hear the rain and the cars in the background because every window in my room is wide open.
lyrics
remember the time we lived and died?
we melted away with the fire in our eyes
and swore we'd never be the same once we got away
we built our boats and we set sail
with cards for wood and dreams for nails
we lost and found a love along the way
so i'm letting go
and i'll count to three
i'll hide my eyes
with hearts and queens
and if we fail
to fold and bend
i'll gather you up
and deal again
